Most tanks are plumbed so that the water is drawn from
the bottom of the tank. This may seem like the obvious setup but the
bottom of the tank is where debris collects and most bacteria live.
Pulling water from the top of the tank allows you to draw the cleanest
water into your system. Our floating skimmers are standard in our
ferrocement tanks.
